My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Banjo! Mellow, loyal, and loving. This sweet boy has been a little unsure about the big wide world, but he told us he's now ready get out and there and learn what it's all about! He's such a loving boy with a big heart. More than anything, he just wants to feel like he belongs somewhere. Banjo has been bounced around a bit through no fault of his own. During his lifetime, he has lacked life experience and stability. Here at the center we are introducing him to new doggie friends, new people and new activities. He's building his confidence and expanding his social circle and doing so good! We are so proud of how far he's come! He's ready to find a human that carries his same energy (calm), a little patience and lots of love. He's ready to give his full heart. After you meet him a few times, his little tail starts to gently wag and he'll lean in for a snuggle. He is very affectionate and loving with the people he knows and trusts. He's also learning different personalities of dogs and what he likes. With some dogs, he loves to play. With other dogs, he is a little more independent. Yet with other dogs, well, they can be a bit too much for him. It all boils down to their energy and his comfort level. His ideal environment would be a quiet, spacious neighborhood and in a home that where he has companionship during the day- whether it be canine or human. He wants to be part of a stable pack. Banjo doesn't require miles and miles of exercise. A simple walk during the day and a few outings during the week along with a spacious backyard are perfect for this boy. We love this boy! Age 5 years. 47 lbs.
