Meet Miss Chili!

Miss Chili is a little 11lb Cairn Terrier mix looking for a patient, quiet, calm home. She is 6 yrs old but acts like a puppy. She loves to chase and play with her Chihuahua foster brothers and loves a good chew on her antlers. She loves to be the center of attention and gets along with other clam, submissive dogs that aren't in her face and she has no issues cats.

Chili does not like loud noises or to be approached too fast by children or strangers so she would do best in a home with a single owner or small family without young, loud or active children.

Miss Chili does well in a crate once she settles in after about 5 mins of fussing. She would prefer to be out with her people or laying in your lap if you let her, she also loves to snuggle under the covers when its bedtime. Who needs a hot water bottle or heating pad when you can have Miss Chili under the covers with you!

Once you gain Chili's trust she will follow you around wherever you go and is truly a lap dog smothering you with all the kisses you’ll allow her to or roll over for belly rubs.

Miss Chili is leash-trained, house-trained knows her basic commands of sit, come, no, stay and she also knows how to walk and dance on her hind legs which she will show you at every opportunity she can. She's definitely not shy about letting you baby her and carry her around everywhere as well. She is very food/treat motivated and can sometimes get aggressive with other dogs if she is enjoying her dinner or a treat and they try to take it from her so if she will be sharing a home with another dog she should be monitored or put in a crate while she snacks away!

Miss Chili is a very sweet and super affectionate little girl looking for the right home to share all the love she has to give, she really deserves the best, won’t you give her a chance?

Miss Chili adoption fee is $300 and (s)he's located in Milwaukee, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
