Amelia's Story...
Name: Amelia
Breed: Cattle Dog/Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Amelia needs help. This adolescent female 35 pound Cattle Dog/Terrier is losing hope of being chosen. Several weeks ago when she was surrendered to the shelter she was a happy, outgoing, pop up to say hello pup... and now after several weeks of being in a cage there, she is so depressed she barely lifts her head when people pause. If a volunteer brings her outside she comes alive and is playful and happy, and the walk back into her kennel is torture, she is so sad. Amelia is one on our ' hope' list, one we'd love to commit to if we can find a foster or adopter for her here. She is currently in KY and would transport to MN July 23rd. She is known great with kids, dogs, and we can ask the shelter to see how she is with cats. She was previously an outside dog so will need to learn the house training, but she keeps her run clean and works hard to please.

Requirements: No special requirements

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Minneapolis Cattle Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
