Hi! I'm Diesel! My owner's surrendered me in poor condition 6 months ago. I was dragging my back legs, unable to walk and the veterinarian said it was due to a traumatic injury. Now, with the help of my vet and awesome foster mom, I'm able to walk and play! I'm still wobbly on my back legs but, as you'll see in my video, I'm happy go lucky boy and very playful! I'm now looking for my safe, loving and true forever home! I have a strong spirit and even bigger heart! And yes, I'm adorable! I'm approx. 10 years old and approx. 25 pounds(7/8). I'm extremely sweet, loving, friendly and playful. I'm well socialized and have never met a stranger. I'm great with kids and other dogs. I haven't been tested with cats. I'm highly intelligent and mind well, inside and out. I'm house and leash trained. I have a medium energy level and not a barker. I have a very gentle, loving and submissive temperament. I really enjoy being petted and loved on. The more, the better! I love to play with other dogs. I also LOVE squeaky toys! They make me super happy! I like to go for car rides and ride well. I like to sleep on my special blanket. I wouldn't mind sleeping beside my new forever person. I hope to get a forever person or family that will treat me like the little prince that I am and show me endless love! If you're looking for an awesome dog that's close to perfect and one that you want to give a better life too, then look no further! I'm ready to learn new things and finally live the good life I so richly deserve! I'd love to be an exciting addition to your wonderful life! I'll provide the unconditional love and you can provide the safe and loving home! Belly rubs and a squeaky toy are a must!

About Carolina Canine Rescue Williamsport MD

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small  nonprofit  group.  We rely only on our adoption fees to survive. We have been rescuing, vetting, and rehabilitating dogs and puppies  since 2009.  We take  in dogs and puppies  from our county  kill shelter as well as abandoned and injured dogs and puppies, regardless  of  their age or any health issues.  We do not turn any away due to health issues. We have taken in dogs with hearworms, mange, physical handicaps, injuries, severe malnutrition, etc. You name it, we've probably seen it! We get these pooches back to good health then begin our search for just the right home for that pet! We also  assist  individuals  in rehoming  their  pets if needed. One advantage we have over other rescues is that two of our volunteers are in wheelchairs, so many of our pooches are already used to being around individuals with special needs!

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Any monetary donations are greatly appreciated and go toward vet bills and dog food!  Donations may be made by mail or paypal to   Our website also has a paypal donate button on the homepage. All donations  are tax deductible!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at various pet stores during the warmer months.

Our Adoption Process...

We do require  an adoption  application  and an adoption  contract,  which can be  found  on our website  at   Adoption  fees vary. You must be at least 20 yrs. of age to apply.

All of our available  pets are rescued  from NC and VA where the county animal shelters euthanize up to 100% of the animals.  Many of the southern county shelters still euthanize with the gas chamber and by heart stick.

Each of our pets are quarantined  for a minimum of 2 weeks before going to their new home to ensure health.  Each pet is checked by our veterinarian  and receives a certificate  of health for travel and is microchipped.  All pets are given their age appropriate  vaccinations and dewormed.  Pets over 6 months of age are sterilized  and heartworm  checked.  Veterinary  records  accompany each pet.  (Our pets may be posted in more than one location  in an effort  to maximize exposure  so we can get these fur babies adopted to make room for those pets waiting  to be saved!)  If for some reason  your adoption isn't working  out within the first 2 weeks, our rescue will take the pet back and refund  your  adoption  fee.  (We do make every effort  to make sure the pet is a good match for your  home before  leaving the rescue, including speaking with the foster and watching their videos on our YouTube  channel CCR923.)  All of our pets are in foster  homes.  We do not have a facility.
