Darwin's Story...
Hi! My name is Darwin and I am a 10 week old male lab mix! I am mostly black with a white patch on my chest. I am the smallest of my brothers weighing about 13 pounds but have a large personality to make up for my smaller size! I love to play with my brothers! I am not afraid to boss my bigger brothers around when they try to take my toys. I am a silly little boy with a goofy and playful personality. I love to snuggle up for a good nap with my brothers or foster mom after a long day of playing! I am good with other dogs and cats but since I am still a puppy I will need lots of training.

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darwin, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
