Pinta's Story...
Pinta is our party girl!  She is a three-month old Labrador mix weighing 16.5 pounds.  She will grow to be a medium sized dog.  Pinta is full of vim and vigor and has a real zest for life.  She is a high energy girl and very gregarious.  With her adventurous spirit, she is the first in line for whatever happens to be going on at the time.  If her siblings are done playing she will find someone else to play with.  Pinta is still a bit unsure about cats so would need some further introduction so she can be more comfortable.   She has been spayed, dewormed and vaccinated.  Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Pinta is now available for adoption in Calgary or Edmonton, AB.  If you are looking for a joyful companion animal to take hiking or jogging, Pinta is for you.  Contact us at adopt.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinta, a Calgary Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
