Meet Savannah of the Walmart Pups! The Walmart pups are sweet, Lab/Hound sisters who are 7 weeks old and will be ready for their forever home at the age of 8 weeks. The pups were being sold out of a vehicle in a Walmart parking lot, hence the name. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan stepped in and took them to safety. The sisters are all super friendly, playful and curious. They are great with other dogs, people of all ages and young enough to learn about cats. Because they are babies, they'll require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and will need to be spayed at the age of 6 months.
Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town-homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking withâ the vet(s) listed on your application to ensureâ that your âcurrent and previous âpet(s) are kept up to date on vaccinesâ (includingâ rabiesâ)â, spayed or neutered, âmaintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and âexamined annually by your vet.***
