Facts about Aurora

  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Aurora is a true sweetie.

She came to us from a neglect case. She had ear infections for more than 6 months that dog control knew of that we left untreated.

Aurora is a very gentle dog. She easily became one of the favorites! She is not hyper, she is easy to handle. She is great on a leash. She loves to go for rides and she is absolutely crate trained.

We have had Aurora fully vetted and her ear infections treated. She is now happy and healthy. There is a big difference in her since she first came in. She is a happy girl and she knows she will have a bright future.

Aurora is a Boxer mix but she is on the small side. She has shorter legs and a smaller body. She weighs around 35 lbs. She is classified as medium sized. Born in 2010 Aurora is hoping to find a home where she can chill and enjoy the company of her new best friend.

She will certainly make an excellent companion.

Don't wait.

About Empire Animal Rescue Society (EARS)

About Our Rescue Group...

Our group was created because there are not many shelters in our surrounding area leaving hundreds and hundreds of stray, neglected and abused animals with nowhere to go and nobody to care for them. Our main goal is to adopt out the animals that we take in and to spay and neuter. We are a group of foster homes therefore the animals are housed in our homes. The animals learn how to be a part of a family with other people and other pets. A few of us in our group also TNR feral cats. We trap, spay or neuter, house them for a week or so until they have healed from surgery and release them again. We do not euthanize any animals that come into our care unless their injuries or health is too poor for them to survive.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Once you have been approved to adopt we schedule appointments to meet our pets in our foster homes. We are often at different festivals throughout the year in our area and the greater Buffalo area including the Ellicottville Fall Festival (Oktoberfest.)

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt one of our animals you must email to obtain our adoption application. Be sure to write the name of the animal you are interested in the subject line of the email so your email does not get lost in our junk mail filter. We will then email you an adoption application back to you. Once you have completed it you must return it via email to us. We will then be in contact with you about the adoption. We all work other jobs and are volunteers so it may take us a day or two to get back to you depending on our work schedules...but don't worry...we will! The donation fees for our puppies and dogs may vary depending on the pet. For an older dog or high maintenance dog (behavioral/medical issues) the fee may be less. If it is a highly adoptable or purebred animal the fee may be slightly more. Generally our dog fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, de-worming and flea control. Remember that pet care and Vet bills are expensive; you must be ready to take on this financial and emotional responsibility. Cat fees also vary and include spay/neuter, flea treatment, de-worming and testing for FeLV/FIV.
