Peanut!'s Story...
Hi my name is Peanut, I'm just under a year old. I'm not your normal little yappy Chihuahua. I'm just 9 pounds, doggy door and puppy pad trained. I've been in foster 2 weeks with zero accidents. I'm quiet inside and outside my crate. I like cats, dogs and people. I'm fully vetted. I was found wondering the streets and pregnant. I went into temporary foster, had 6 healthy puppies. I raised them and they went to a puppy only rescue. My turn to find a home now. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $150-$350 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut!, a Sacramento Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
