Maverick's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Maverick's Story...
Maverick is looking for his forever home! He's a one year-old neutered male Blue Heeler, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He came from a horrible high-kill shelter in Texas, saved just in time. He's sweet as can be, gets along great with other dogs and kids. Maverick is crate trained and house trained. He's very smart and learns quickly. He already knows some basic commands. He's currently in foster care near Pueblo, but meet and greets can be arranged elsewhere if you're willing to meet halfway. If you're interested in meeting Maverick, please fill out an adoption application from our Facebook page, Friends of Shawnee Animals Co, or send us a message from that page and we'll get right back to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Aurora Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Aurora, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Aurora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aurora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aurora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aurora paves the way for another one to be saved.
