My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie May is a happy schnauzer mix. She is approx 10 months old and 18 lbs as of July 2017. She is very energetic and loves to run and play with her rescue buddies. She loves her back yard to run in and is not suitable for an apartment. She has yet to be groomed and will post new photos of her when we get them, but she is pretty matted and will visit the groomer next week.

She loves people, loves toys, is pretty well house trained but not perfect and getting better every day. She would do better in a home with at least one other playful dog to keep her company. She does ok on leash but could do with some basic leash and obedience training as she is a pup. She is best suited to an active family, but she is also is too lively for small children as she will knock them over in playing. She is a typical terrier, and likes to chase cats, thinking they are her playmates .

The total adoption fee of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
