Hi, I'm Tasha! How did you come to First Avenue? I was brought in by the city of Eugene.Do you like other dogs? I need to be the only dog in the home. What do you think about cats? I need to go to a cat free home.So how do you feel about kids? I need to go to an adult only home. What's your ideal home like? I've never had a home before so I'm not sure exactly what to expect. As far as anyone knows I have spent my whole life living with one person on the streets. Since I've been at the shelter I have really opened up and they have been able to learn a few things about me. I am afraid of new places and when nervous I tend to keep to myself. Once I have spent some time with you and am comfortable things will never be the same. I will love you more than you thought a dog could ever possibly love someone. I'm the kind of dog whose affection has to be earned but everyone here at the shelter will tell you how worth it it is. With my favorite people I enjoy cuddling, a lot! I will wiggle my way in between your legs and I will lean into you like you're the greatest thing around, because to me you are. I'm also pretty good at taking baths. If you are looking for a dog that's never experienced having a real home before and you want to share that kind of love, it's me you're looking for! What is it that staff and volunteers love about you? The kennel staff and volunteers are amazed at how far I've come. I came into the shelter very scared and now I'll cuddle and go on walks with almost anyone! And volunteers say "I love how open Tasha is. She is receptive to so much love!"Is there anything else we should know about you? Kennel staff thinks I'm about 5 years old. I weigh roughly 60 pounds. I do have a behavior waiver that talks about how fearful I can become in unfamiliar environments. The kennel staff will talk to you all about it though so no worries!**Here is what a volunteer had to say about me "I love how open Tasha is. She is receptive to so much love."**My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to read about me. If you think we would be a good match come on down to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be you!ADOPTION INFORMATION:Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to First Avenue in person to meet with an animal, as well as kennel staff, to complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other dogs) should be present to ensure the chosen dog is compatible with everyone. Our staff are happy to provide pre-and-post adoption counseling to support you throughout your adoptee's life! This pet is located at 1st Avenue Shelter. 3970 W. 1st Avenue Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 844-1777.
