Emi is a sweet, older female Shiba Inu. She gets along with children and all people. She is approx 12 years old. Emi is microchipped, spayed, heart worm negative and current on vaccines. She is crate-trained, house-trained and knows basic commands. She is good with most calm dogs. If you are familiar with this breed, enjoy an active lifestyle and run/walk/hike at least a mile, two times a day, you may be the perfect companion for this gorgeous gal!
Unlike most Shibas, this cutie enjoys being held and cuddled. She shows her affection by giving many kisses.
The Shiba-Inu is a primitive breed, and a living national monument in their native Japan. They are not very affectionate dogs, but are extremely loyal to their family/owner. Similar to the Japanese Akita because of their appearance and fierce loyalty, Shiba-Inus are a great breed to adopt because they are small-sized dogs that are smart and loyal. They are also known to be escape artists and door-bolters. Adopters who have previously owned or are accustomed to this breed will be considered. If interested in adopting her, please complete an application. Applications: http://www.savingshibasinc.org/application-to-adopt.html
