Additional info: This beautiful boy is coming to us from Iran on August 2nd. He is an orphan and was rescued from the streets with some of his siblings. His mother was most likely killed by the city. Locals were throwing rocks at the puppies and using them for target practice. Fortunately, one of our dedicated volunteers managed to get them off the streets and arrange passage for them to Los Angeles. Jasper was one of the lucky ones and escaped without injury. As a result of the hostility in his short life so far, Jasper is a little hesitant and shy at first. It may take a short while for you to gain his trust. Once he accepts you he is affectionate and loving although he is still more hesitant around men than women. Jasper's coat has suffered a little from malnutrition, the harsh environment and fleas. But he is being treated and responding well to treatment. Jasper is super smart and his confidence is growing daily. He just loves people and we expect him to blossom once he is the center of attention in his very own family. He gets along well with other dogs. We would love it if Jasper could go straight into his forever home when he arrives. You will never have a more devoted and grateful dog than this little guy if you take him into your family.
