* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted:

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, July 29th and July 30th from 12pm-4pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

BeeBee is an 8 month old Dachshund mix. She weighs 18lbs. She was fostered in a condo setting. She is a quiet dog who isn't a nuisance barker. She is a very easy dog who goes with the flow and does well whether she is with another dog or not. She is not a dog who is attached to her owner at the hip yet is still very affectionate and loving. She just doesn't have a need to follow from room to room. She is most definitely a dog who could go to a home that hasn't had a dog before because she is very adaptable to all situations we've had her in so far.

BeeBee gets along well with other dogs. She likes to play with them. She went to the dog park and played with dogs on the small side. She had a blast. She walks well on a leash. She does well meeting and greeting people while on or off the leash.

BeeBee is easily a dog who could go to work with Mom or Dad. She could join them at an outdoor cafe on Saturday morning or take a walk down Castro St. in Mt. View on Sat. evening.

If there are children in the home they need to be over the age of 6.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.

About Doggie Protective Services (DPS) - Palo Alto

About Our Rescue Group...

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
