A079773 Finn's Story...
Duplicate Listing - Finn (A079773) 2 year old male yellow Labrador Retriever currently located at the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter and has been attending adoption events with Heart of America Humane Society at Olathe Petsmart at 119th and Blackbob. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when you can meet him at (816) 969-1640 and they are located at 1991 SE Hamblen Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. Finn weighs around 70 pounds and has such a gorgeous face. He knows sit, shake with both hands and down. Finn does pull on the leash initially when you start walking but does tend to lighten up a bit. Some leash training is probably in order. He is a pretty active boy, so making sure he goes into a home where he has another dog to play with or an active family to run and walk him. Finn had no interest in playing with toys but did like to take a big bone in his mouth and carry it for a bit. He was good with kids at the adoption events and great with other dogs. Finn does tend to jump up a bit so probably best not in a home with little children. He didn't have any accidents at the adoption events so he is likely housetrained. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when and where you can meet him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A079773 Finn, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
