Cookie's Story...
Hi, my name is Cookie. I am a smart, friendly girl, with two awesome sisters and a mom who are all up for adoption! We would love to go to our new homes in pairs, since there are four of us, and we are really close. My sister Mocha and I are especially good friends. We roll and tussle, then groom each other and curl up to sleep. We all love humans, and all the other cats we have met. (We haven't met any dogs, yet.) I look totally different from the rest of my family, and I will gaze into your eyes and figure you out, more than any of the others. (I am very special, in that way and others!) Then I'll go tackle someone! We have lots of kittens here, and we are all friends. It's a great life, but I'm ready for a home of my own. Would you like to meet me and my family? We look forward to meeting you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
