Dottie is such a great dog with beautiful markings and personality. A little reserved at first, she loves her people and other dogs. Given the chance, she loves to run and be chased followed by a relaxing long nap. Dottie is a happy, eager-to-please dog with good manners and great leash skills. While she has a kind loving soul, she is unsure of her new life and will benefit from someone who has lots of love to give her mixed with a touch of patience. She still is shy and cautious in new situations, but is a pleaser and once she gets to know you just loves attention. Dottie is a real head-turner with her black mask, athletic physique and unique markings. She has the appearance of a half-sized Dane with her long legs and dark spots. She loves to go for rides, great with children and has minimal interest in cats.
Dottie is the best dog on a leash, even walked by a 4-year-old with ease. Fully housetrained, never having an accident inside shows her intelligence and willingness to please. She is submissive to other dogs and would enjoy being in a home with a well-adjusted dog to help her finish her journey to the perfect dog.

Dottie is a beautiful Pointer/mix girl who came to Dolly's Legacy along with her sister, Trixie. They were born June of 2016 and weigh just under 50 lbs. They spent their first year with a rescue in Oklahoma after they had been found abandoned in a park as 8-wk-old pups. They are ready to start the next chapter in their lives with a forever family. While not bonded, they do like to be together and Dottie would love a home with either another dog or her sister.
Dottie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. Adoption fee is $200. If adopting the sister duo, the adoption fee is $300 total. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference, home ownership & fenced yard, although not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information.
