Foxy *Foster*'s Story...
This sweet girl has definitely had a rough life, but things are only looking up from here! Foxy is a 4 to 5-year old Pomeranian/Papillon mix in search of a loving home. We believe that this pretty girl was most likely used as a breeding machine before being rescued by BARK. When she came to us, she was underweight, malnourished, blind (cataracts that were left untreated), and mostly deaf - she looked much older than she really was. After a thorough vet check-up, dental cleaning, and lots of good food and attention, we realized this poor girl was nowhere near the senior that we initially thought she was. She had simply been ignored and poorly cared for. While she definitely has some special needs, she is a very affectionate and adaptive girl. Foxy manages to maneuver and may be able to see some shadows. She can certainly feel vibrations and gets around relatively well, all things considered. She loves spending time with her person and considers herself the perfect lap dog. She does well with other dogs and would likely do well with older children. If you've got a soft spot for the underdog, then Foxy might be the perfect fit for you! To meet Foxy, please complete an adoption application online at www.barkva.org or email email@example.com today!
About B.A.R.K. (Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9's)
The primary focus at B.A.R.K. (Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9's)is rescuing orphaned or abandoned pets and other adoptable dogs from local shelters and finding loving, forever homes for them. B.A.R.K. covers healthcare costs for its orphans by using our Jessica Beath Clinic who provide routine vaccinations or booster shots, disease testing & treatment (heartworm, etc.), and spay/neuter services. B.A.R.K volunteer foster's provide safe environments for rescued animals until they are adopted by loving individuals and families. Our first priority is the care and safety of our orphans. We also do our best to be a resource for dog owners within the community and support others who are advocating for the welfare of dogs.
Come Meet Our Pets...
BARK has adoption events every Saturday at our Jessica Beath Clinic 12300 Farrington Road Ashland from 12:00 - 3:00 pm.

Our Adoption Process...
The potential adopter completes an application. The application is reviewed within 3-5 business days. If the application is approved, arrangements are made for a visit between the dog, a BARK representative and the potential applicant. At that time, if a decision is made to adopt the dog, a BARK contract is completed and an adoption donation of $150.00 is accepted.
