If you're in the market for an incredibly sweet and friendly new playmate, then we have the girl for you! Emma is a 3-year old, black lab mix in search of the perfect forever home. Rescued from a very rural county pound, this cutie is about as good as they get. Emma is very friendly, outgoing, and well-socialized. She seems to get along well with other dogs (cats are unknown) and loves spending time with her volunteer pals. She does nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and loves exploring the trails at BARK. She is a nice medium size and also has a medium energy level. She would make a wonderful addition to just about any home and will likely also do well with children. Emma can be a bit of an escape artist when left unattended so she will need either a privacy fenced in yard (and attended; no 4-foot or electric fences please) or an owner committed to leash walking her. Emma is currently enrolled in our BARK Behind Bars prison training program, where she'll learn more valuable social skills and additional obedience. If you would like to meet her after she graduates, please submit an adoption application online at You definitely don't want to pass this girl by!

About B.A.R.K. (Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9's)

About Our Rescue Group...

The primary focus at B.A.R.K. (Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9's)is rescuing orphaned or abandoned pets and other adoptable dogs from local shelters and finding loving, forever homes for them.
B.A.R.K. covers healthcare costs for its orphans by using our Jessica Beath Clinic who provide routine vaccinations or booster shots, disease testing & treatment (heartworm, etc.), and spay/neuter services.
B.A.R.K volunteer foster's provide safe environments for rescued animals until they are adopted by loving individuals and families.
Our first priority is the care and safety of our orphans. We also do our best to be a resource for dog owners within the community and support others who are advocating for the welfare of dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

BARK schedules meet and greets with potential adopters by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

The potential adopter completes an application. The application is reviewed within 3-5 business days. If the application is approved, arrangements are made for a visit between the dog, a BARK representative and the potential applicant. At that time, if a decision is made to adopt the dog, a BARK contract is completed and an adoption donation of $175.00 is accepted.
