This little girl is incredibly sweet and friendly - plus she's adorable (her pictures definitely don't do her justice)! Harriet is a young, petite female Terrier mix. She weighs just under 40 pounds. She came to BARK with Sandy and Rhiannon. Harriet is a bit on the shy side and would do best with another, confident and playful dog in the home. She would be a flight risk if she got away, so a fenced yard (at least 6 feet high) or an owner who is committed to leash walking her (no electric or invisible fences) will be needed to help keep her safe. She has definitely warmed up to our volunteers and is slowly gaining confidence. She is a quiet natured dog and is she is very sweet. She startles easily and would do best in a calm home, with someone who has experience with shy dogs. She has alot of potential to be a wonderful companion. If you would like to meet Harriet, please submit an adoption application online at www.barkva.org or contact us at adopt@barkva.org or call 804-449-BARK(2275).

About B.A.R.K. (Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9's)

About Our Rescue Group...

Our MISSION

The primary focus at B.A.R.K. (Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9's)is rescuing orphaned or abandoned pets and other adoptable dogs from local shelters and finding loving, forever homes for them.
B.A.R.K. covers healthcare costs for its orphans by using our Jessica Beath Clinic who provide routine vaccinations or booster shots, disease testing & treatment (heartworm, etc.), and spay/neuter services.
B.A.R.K volunteer foster's provide safe environments for rescued animals until they are adopted by loving individuals and families.
Our first priority is the care and safety of our orphans. We also do our best to be a resource for dog owners within the community and support others who are advocating for the welfare of dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

BARK schedules meet and greets with potential adopters by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

The potential adopter completes an application. The application is reviewed within 3-5 business days. If the application is approved, arrangements are made for a visit between the dog, a BARK representative and the potential applicant. At that time, if a decision is made to adopt the dog, a BARK contract is completed and an adoption donation of $175.00 is accepted.
