The Knox County Humane Society provides for the rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and care of stray, unwanted, or lost cats and dogs. KCHS operates a shelter in Mount Vernon, OH which offers feline & canine adoption services, a pet food pantry, and low-cost spay/neuter clinics to the community.

Our Adoption Process...
All adoptions can take 24 hours or longer to approve. Thank you for your patience and understanding. You can now print out and complete some of the required paperwork before you visit our facility and see adoption fees at www.knoxhumanesociety.org click on ADOPTABLES.
