Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Woof, woof! My name is Petey and I am a cute & tiny beagle-mix that is looking for a new place to call HOME. I was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina and lived in a foster home for approx. 1 month while I received treatment for heartworms. I finished my treatment and tolerated it well, so now I am ready to make my way up to PABR! I will be arriving in New Jersey late on Saturday, July 15, and will NOT be at Petsmart that day for PABR’s weekly Beagle Adoption Event.
My foster mom took good care of me and wanted you to know what she learned about me during my time with her: “Petey is an absolutely adorable & sweet beagle-mix. He is approx. 4 years old and weighs about 16 lbs. He is a submissive and friendly little guy whose tail is always wagging. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoyed playing with another small foster dog here. He is initially unsure about large dogs, but once he is comfortable, he does great.
“Petey loves to play fetch and actually brings the ball back! He also enjoys chewing on elk antlers and Nylabones. He is crate trained and mostly house-trained. He was doing some urine marking initially, but had just been neutered and was on Prednisone. He has done much better the past week or so now that he is weaning off Prednisone. Like any beagle, he loves to eat and to go for walks with his nose to the ground.”
I don’t expect to be in Rescue long because I have already received word that people are asking about me. Perhaps it is my cute little face or my friendly personality! Whatever the reason, if you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels TODAY.
An adoption application for Petey can be obtained by visiting our web site at www.pennyangelsbeaglerescue.com. If you have any questions, please contact beagler534@comcast.net or emnase@aol.com, or call Penny Angels Beagle Rescue at 609-965-9476. Thank you!
