Pekie's Story...
Meet PEKIE.... This girl was saved from a bad situation! She's suppose to be 4 years old and a purebred Pekingese. She's lived outdoors her whole life. So she will need training and time to adjust to living indoors. She has flea dermatitis which we have started treatment on. She's missing hair on he rear but with her meds are finished it will be back in no time and you'll never know she had any issues. She's sweet and mellow. She also did well in the car. She's good with other dogs and cats. We haven't had her around children. She will be utd, hw tested and spayed!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pekie, a Grand Bay Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
