Hi there! My name is Shorty and I am a handsome 6 ½ yr. old, 28 lb. beagle boy that needs to find a new home. Prior to coming to Penny Angels, I spent most of my time outside in a kennel run because my owner was frequently out of town. After I arrived in Rescue I was adopted right out to another home, but things didn’t work out so now I am back with Penny Angels and in search of another place that will be a better fit for me. It would be best for me to live with someone who is home more often and has time to spend with me. I would prefer to have a doggie friend, too, to keep me company while you are away. A crate would be the best place for me to be when you are not home (or when you can’t keep an eye on me); I have been known to be a little mischievous when left alone, so a crate will keep us both happy!
I am microchipped and up-to-date with my vaccinations. I even had a dental in May. I love people and enjoy snuggling! I like spending time in the backyard and also enjoy my nap-time! I am friendly with other dogs and good with children of all ages. I don’t even seem to mind walking near the neighborhood cats. I am working on my leash-walking and have learned to use the doggie door in Rescue with no problem. I like to play with toys and will often bury them in the backyard and then dig them up and bury them again. It is a quirky little habit of mine, but at least it keeps me busy! It also keeps life interesting! I will be at Petsmart on Saturday from 11-3 pm so that you can spend some time with me and find out if we are a good fit for each other.
