Victor is one of our five South Korean dog meat farm pups that arrived to the ARLGP in May, 2016.

Victor is our fourth of these five dogs to be available for adoption. While his life before the ARLGP was very different than the average pooch, he has had a tremendous journey through training and socialization and is now ready to paw off into a loving home.

Victor is looking for a home filled with patience. He still has a lot of learning to do about what it is like to live in a home with a family, because he quite simply has not yet experienced that.

At the ARLGP we have observed Victor to be incredibly smart and curious. He is active, and loves romping around our play yard, sniffing out all the scents. He has shown a wonderful curiosity, and is always looking to take a step further or learn something new. We believe Victor would love a confident canine housemate in his new home, but it is not a requirement. He just absolutely loves the company of dogs, and play time is his favorite time of day.

We encourage you to come in and meet Victor and chat with our team about his journey, and what he is looking for during his next chapter and transition into a home.

About Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland

About Our Shelter...

The mission of the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland (ARLGP) is to provide temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned, confiscated and relinquished animals, and to place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes; to work to create awareness and support for the humane treatment of all animals; to end animal overpopulation through education and the promotion of spaying and neutering; to make end-of-life decisions based on safety and animal welfare considerations.

The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland (ARLGP) is a private nonprofit animal shelter established in 1911. Every year, we take in more than 4,000 stray, abandoned or owner surrendered animals.
