Buddy is looking for his forever human companion. His life has been full of challenges and disappointment but he has proven to be a survivor. He has a sense of profound loyalty to those humans who he trusts and is extremely playful and affectionate. We believe Buddy is about 7 or 8 years old and a Retriever/Chow mix. WAG Rescue has had Buddy long enough to know that he needs a home where he is the only dog and can be the center of attention, returning that feeling right back to you. He enjoys jumping into the car or truck for a ride and he loves to be walked on a leash. Buddy needs a home with adults that understand dog behavior and have the patience and compassion to help him rehabilitate from a lifetime of unfortunate events. Buddy responds well to positive reinforcement and treats. He has been through a "Here" cue training method that WAG Rescue volunteers will share with you. If you feel a connection with Buddy and would like to meet him, please go to our website wimberleywagrescue.org, read about our adoption process and complete an application.

Thank you

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption application helps WAG Rescue and the adopter determine what they are looking for in their future pet. It also provides background information about the potential adopter and their family. After the adoption application is received, a brief telephone interview is conducted. This is very informal. At this time arrangements will be made for the potential adopter to meet their dog of choice. If this "meet and greet" is successful the next step will be a home visit. Then, the adoption process is finalized with a formal adoption agreement.

We receive multiple applications on a dog and each application is reviewed in the order in which it was received.

WAG Rescue looks forward to meeting with you. Our goal is provide you, your family, and your future four-legged family member with the best possible tools to have a successful and fulfilling life together.

Our adoption fee is $175.
