Facts about Esme

  • Color: Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 35405932
Esme was surrendered to a shelter because she was pregnant. We got her out as soon as we saw her. Her 4 beautiful puppies were born 5-3-17, and have been adopted into great homes. We were told she is a Pomeranian mix. We see long hair Chihuahua also. She has a long, silky coat. She has had some hair loss from hormone changes after weaning and then being spayed, but this is not permanent. She is very energetic and loves to play, run around in the yard and does great with the other foster dogs, but likes to win all the toys. She can't get enough toys that squeak. She kennels well, but is housetrained and does well in the house. She is a little lap dog in the evenings. Esme is a barker if anyone comes to the door or gets near "her property". Her very favorite activity is car rides. Please give this little girl the chance at a great life.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption application helps WAG Rescue and the adopter determine what they are looking for in their future pet. It also provides background information about the potential adopter and their family. After the adoption application is received, a brief telephone interview is conducted. This is very informal. At this time arrangements will be made for the potential adopter to meet their dog of choice. If this "meet and greet" is successful the next step will be a home visit. Then, the adoption process is finalized with a formal adoption agreement.

We receive multiple applications on a dog and each application is reviewed in the order in which it was received.

WAG Rescue looks forward to meeting with you. Our goal is provide you, your family, and your future four-legged family member with the best possible tools to have a successful and fulfilling life together.

Our adoption fee is $175.
