Grumpy is one of the two Chihuahua's transferred recently from Second Chance animal shelter in Flagstaff. He is here with his brother Sleepy and they are looking for loving homes together.
Sleepy & Grumpy are two of 8 dogs that were abandoned on a reservation in Northern Arizona and rescued by Second Chance. Relatively feral and socialized upon intake, they have a long long way. With a lot of love, patience and understanding these pups will make great pets. They are a little shy at first, but after a few meet & greets and lots of yummy treats they open right up! They are looking for that special person who knows this active yet sensitive breed and wants to give these two the loving home they have never known before. Please call for more information or come on by to start building a relationship today!

About Humane Society of Sedona

About Our Shelter...

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
