Update from Olivia's foster......
Olivia is a talking cat. Whenever she sees me she will talk to me and tell me stories. She loves to follow me and see what I'm doing. I believe she thinks she'll be a people when she grows up. She is bright and playful. Her favorite toys are hair ties and a crinkly stuffed, butterfly cat toy. Olivia may be a slightly special needs kitty. She is called a Manx because, her spine stops about an inch short of where it should. She has no tail. It causes her back legs to be a bit wobbly but, she doesn't care. She goes full blast anyway. She loves to snuggle on your lap and is learning to be held for a few seconds. She will give you affectionate nips and sleep with you if you let her. She is still a little bit feral but, has learned not to jump up on the counter top where you cook or on the stove. She is a very loving kitty who would like to be someone's only child.

About Bastrop County Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The shelter is located at 589 Coolwater Rd. in Bastrop Texas. Please come meet our pets Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm or Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
