Howdy! I'm Logan, a sweet Yellow Lab mix. I was found roaming the streets of Mesquite with my "brother," Luka. He likes to call me his "brother from another mother." Although we are obviously not related by DNA (I mean just look at us), we are totally devoted to each other and need to be in a home together, forever. I am the leader of our "pack of 2." Luka likes to follow my lead, even though he is a bit older and bigger than me. I have a very gentle personality, but I am still fairly young, so I like to chew. However, I'm learning to "chew on the right things" now that I have a steady supply of the "right things" to chew on. I'm working on crate and potty training, and doing rather well. I get along with just about anyone and any dog; not sure how I feel about cats, so probably best to avoid them. Otherwise, I'll be good in just about any type of home that has enough love for 2 big dogs and a well-secured backyard. Come and meet me. I'd love to meet you. And don't forget to take a look at my "brother," Luka. We really need to be adopted together.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site or a paper application at an adoption event.

Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption.
