Kingsley's Story...
Kingsley is a friendly 6 yr old male ShihTzu and weighs about 14 lbs. His previous owner had no time for him and he was very much neglected. Due to this, he is a little timid with new people he meets and socialization with different situations would help. Likes to go for walks. Is unsure of himself and who he can trust. But wants to give everyone a chance. He has a quiet little bark so would be ok for apartments. Kingsley appears to have a bit of separation anxiety but with some confidence he should overcome it. He likes other dogs but is excitable around cats. Kids over 12 yrs old
Needs support in house training but doing very well.
Foster home is in Scarborough

Kingsley's adoption fee is $375. For an application for Kingsley, go to www.happytailsrescue.ca/application-form.

**applicants must be in a 2 hr driving range from Toronto/Niagara area as we do home visits ourselves with our dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kingsley, a Mississauga Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Mississauga, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Mississauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mississauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mississauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mississauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
