Hi, they call me Sandra Dee. Sandy for short. I know that I can look a little scary because of my cropped ears and face, but I'm a really sweet, affectionate girl and super lovable. Looks are certainly deceiving in my case. I'm not so good with other dogs but I'm very well behaved in the home. I was in foster care for several months and really took to obedience training because I am very food-motivated. I do need a little work on the leash. I would love to have a fenced yard to run and play in. I like to play. I should be fine with children over 12 years old. I might knock smaller ones down, but I wouldn't mean it. I'm not into toys right now -- too busy soaking up as much love as I can when I can. I'm active enough to keep up with a jogger or a hiker, but I would be just as happy snuggling on the couch with someone, too. My schedule is open right now, so make a date to come in and meet me. You can see me make my television debut here:

About Animal Adoption Center

About Our Shelter...

We are the first profoundly NO-KILL shelter in southern New Jersey, and we take great pride in this fact. We save over 800 lives per year, uniting animals rescued from high kill shelters with families looking for their new best friend. We also operate a neighborhood food bank, providing food and supplies to local citizens who cannot provide for their pets, and would have to give them up without assistance. We operate entirely on donations and money raised in fundraisers, and we have been doing so for more than 30 years!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We sponsor weekend events at local malls and community farmers markets and fairs, as well as at PetValue locations. We also provide animals for local college "stress relief days" during exams so the students have animals to pet. Win-Win!

Our Adoption Process...

Dogs are $250 for puppies, $170 for adults, and $70 for dogs over 6 years old. Kittens are $100, adult cats are $70 Prospective parents fill out a questionnaire, and then speak with an employee at our center. We try to match the families with an appropriate pet, and arrange a "meet and greet" with the family's other pets, if needed. We provide 30 days of pet insurance following adoption, and all animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped.
