Jake's Story...
Hi Friends! My name is Jake and I'm really looking forward to meeting my forever family soon. I was found wandering by myself and brought to the shelter and given two hours to live.
Then a nice lady from Cat Call picked me up and then I met my foster mom. I love my clean house and I get to play with my BKFF (Best Kitten Friend Forever), Jasper. I also love that I can eat as much as I want, not to mention fresh water. Yummo!

I can't wait to meet my forever family! Did I mention that I love playing with other cats, too?! I'd love a home with another kitty or my BKFF Jake.
Please contact Jasper's foster, Ann at and/or 813-842-6283 to schedule a meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Sarasota Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
