Cocoa is a really unusual color combination of long haired brown and white bicolor. Although she had a bit of a rough start, she has made amazing progress in foster care with socialization and especially enjoys being brushed with a soft toothbrush. She has great potential as a lap cat and as she is now feeling much better, her playful side is coming out. She is up to date on vaccinations and will be tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV and microchipped prior to adoption.
We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50.
Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
