Hi, my name is Roxy but everyone just calls me “Good Girl”, I am approximately 4 years old and weigh almost 84 pounds. I need a new home because my Mom had to go into a nursing home. She loved me so much and took great care of me and fed me lots of homemade goodies. When I first arrived, I was so sad missing her but I have settled into CARI very nicely and I love all my new friends, especially my best friend Zeke. I am told I am super “fluffy” not fat and I am also told that I am the very best behaved girl that has ever landed in a rescue.
I am a Rottweiler Mix. I have a loving, happy, friendly, soft personality and love to be with my human. I was an only child with my Mommy so people are my favorite things. When outside I like to roll in the grass and play fetch with the ball. I prefer someone who is a good ball thrower but when I return the ball I am very gentle and sweet with it. Not pushy or demanding like some of those Retriever type dogs. I like to chase balls but you can distract me easily with pats, snuggles and words that make my nubby tail wag really fast. I like treats very much but Donna says I don’t get as many treats as I used to so that I can keep my new figure. I have already lost 9 pounds since I came to CARI and I feel really great.
Here is a little more about me:
