My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Major! He is going to make someone a GREAT companion! He is a 1+ year old male Aussie and Border Collie mix. He’s pretty tall – only 37 lbs right now, but will probably be closer to 45-50 when we get some meat back on these bones. Major was surrendered to a shelter in Houston with his female mate and puppies. He is super skinny right now and his coat is thin, but we are working to rehab him and he’s going to be beautiful when it all comes back! Major absolutely LOVES people and getting attention from all of them. Being loved on is his favorite past time. He’s very active and playful, but has a really great off switch. Probably not great for a house with small children, but does awesome with my teenagers and would probably be good with older elementary kids. He is super smart and already learning basic commands. He’s been great in his crate. He has learned to use the doggy door to go outside to potty. He is just beginning to try and play with toys but doesn’t know how to chase a ball or frisbee yet. No cats in our house so we haven’t tested that yet. He is going to be a very active dog. Would probably be fine as an only dog in an active human house or as an addition to another young dog that likes to play. He loves to play with our 1 year old. He has been to the vet and is being treated for a case of kennel cough, but had no major issues to note. He will need to be neutered in a few weeks. Everyone who meets this dog in person totally falls in love!
