Facts about Chaneka

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair/Domestic Shorthair Mix
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 35927037
  • Hair: Unknown
Chaneka: gray tabby & white, medium hair, female, born 2/21/17, #13002 (grey stripes)
Shai: gray tabby & white, short hair, female, born approx. 3/7/17, #13003 (whiter face)

These girls were rescued from behind a taco stand in South Bay. Though from different litters, they came from the same place and grew up together in foster care.

Chaneka and Shai are both loving, playful, and totally charming kittens. They will play with anything that moves-including toes under the covers, so watch how you wiggle! The world is their playground and they're excited to discover new toys, new friends, and new adventures. Chaneka is the more dominant kitten and is a little bigger. She enjoys a little roughhousing with her BFF Shai, which soon morphs into mutual cuddling. They often will sleep on the bed with their people. Shai enjoys cuddling under the covers.

Chaneka and Shai very much enjoy the company of people, including children who are familiar with interacting with a kitty. Their high energy status will need plenty of outlets, and they would love to be adopted together-or if that's not in the cards, with a fellow kitty playmate; they make friends easily and love company. They haven't met dogs, though we think their spunky attitudes would facilitate forming a friendship with a cat-friendly canine.

These two cuties bring silliness and fun wherever they go... will you become the forever family of one or both of them?

About THE RESCUE HOUSE

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescue House is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting cats through its rescue, foster and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats. We open our arms to cats that need assistance, regardless of age and often regardless of handicap. We find good homes for every cat that we take in - we are a true no-kill cat rescue organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program. Our Adoption Centers are located in retail pet stores whose philosophy agrees with The Rescue House's mission. A list of the adoption centers can be found here: http://www.rescuehouse.org/adoption-centers.html

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.
