HEIDI's Story...
Hi, my name is Heidi! Nice to meet ya. Check out my perky ears!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

I am a German Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. I am 2.5 years old and I am spayed. YIKES! I am super sweet and love to play! I like all dogs, big or small and even cats! Yep, kitty cats, too! I even spent the day with a puppy and loved her too. If I don't have anyone 2-legged or 4-legged to play with, I will play by myself. I love my stuffed toys and tennis balls. I know SIT, STAY (mostly), NO and OFF. ....good doggie....

Boy-oh-boy, I am lovin' life cuz you know what happened to me before I got rescued? A mean human tied me to a cement post at a Walgreen's and left me there! Who would be so mean to a sweet doggie like me? A great rescue and a great foster took me in and, now, I can start my new life with you! Besides being a high energy girl, I can also sit and cuddle with you. I love it. I'd be a great doggie for joggers, hikers, active folks!

Psst! Don't tell my foster mom but she loved me SO much, she gave me too many treat so I gained 7 pounds but, once I get out running around again, I will lose it. I weigh 52 but need to weigh 45. We can work on that, OK?

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email puppalace2011@gmail.com and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HEIDI, a Ann Arbor German Shepherd Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Ann Arbor, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Ann Arbor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ann Arbor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ann Arbor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ann Arbor paves the way for another one to be saved.
