Captain Jack's Story...
Captain Jack M17-047
They named me Captain Jack because I’m a take over kind of Alpha guy who likes to be in charge of things. I’m a handsome silver tabby, with those beautiful McDonald Arches over my pale gray eyes. I am one of five kids born to Pip in a friendly garage, and then we spent a few weeks in a country nursery before my two brothers and I went to a great foster home. We had a very experienced foster mom, and she had some kids and other pets, and a really nice house so we got practice living in a home. Now we’re old enough to meet folks and choose a Forever Home for ourselves. I’ll be meeting people this weekend at Twin Falls PetSmart, so I hope you’ll drop in and we can visit. I’m healthy, neutered, current on my shots, and negative for FIV/FELV. I’ve got nice manners and a friendly attitude. I should be INSIDE ONLY. I’d be a good pet for a responsible older child, or fit well into a family that understands cats and is patient and has time! Gee, I hope I get a great Forever Home. Maybe with you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Captain Jack, a Buhl Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Buhl, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Buhl.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buhl already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buhl breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buhl paves the way for another one to be saved.
