**DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS AND INTEREST IN SUZY SHE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND IS PENDING**

Hi everyone I'm Suzy and HHBR's latest houndette. I am rescued from a FB post on a dog site. See my previous owner found out I was heartworm positive and had an ear infection and they couldn't afford the cost of the treatment I need to live a healthy long life. I am thankful to have arrived in my current foster as it is literally the Basset house...no really we have one of every shape, size, color and age here and I have to say the more the merrier! We also have cats here and while I don't understand the necessity of all that hair on one little fast moving critter I actually don't mind the cat crew n my foster home either! In fact you are looking at a pretty darn close to perfect Basset lady here! I am completely house trained with no accidents. I love everyone I meet from men to children and woman. I am crate trained, and this is where my foster mom puts us if she has to leave us, but I honestly don't need to be crated. The one thing we're doing is getting me healthy. I will undergo the recommended HW treatment of having one injection in July and then we wait 30 days and have the final two injections 24 hrs apart. During this process I will be on medicine to make sure the Heartworms don't multiply and I will need to be kept very quiet with limited activity for 6-8 weeks. I am also not spayed and due to my HW's it's recommended to wait 6 months after my last treatment to safely have that done. So HHBR will be requiring a spay deposit and spay contract to ensure I am as healthy as I can be!
We'll be happy to update any potential adopters on my medical treatment progress. And HHBR said I can be reserved to the right home for me while I'm getting my medical care!

I am current on all vaccinations, Heartworm tested positive, treated and on monthly preventative, de-flead, de-wormed.

SUZY'S ADOPTION FEE IS $275.00

Adoption Information:
Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed,microchipped in addition to being spayed/neutered.

We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.

**The age of many HHBR dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record.

***HHBR's adoption fees are determined based on age of the dog. Individual adoption fees are shown with each dog's listing.
