Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Whenever a sweet and engaging Terrier mix gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that dogs of this breed mix are loving, smart and make great family companions. They fit so well into a household and make excellent companions for all age groups as well as other dogs.
Alice is one of these cuddly and very sweet Terriers. The Texas vets believe Alice to be a Yorkie (based on body structure and personality..she's a playful and very silly/entertaining girl) mixed with a cottony-soft Maltese diva.
Alice is so puppyish in her enthusiasm for all people that are kind to her. As you can see in her photo, Alice has a smile that stretches ear to ear..and a love of life that knows no bounds. Wherever this joyful baby goes, she brings her positive attitude and fun-loving (occasionally mischievous) energy along with her.
Sometimes rescue dogs are initially a bit shy....but put them into a home with a loving family that provides frequent socialization, nurturing, love and belly rubs.. and they will shine. Alice is one of these pups...she's a blank slate that's just waiting for the commitment of a great family. Her love will know no bounds as she becomes a best friend and the greatest lap dog ever.
Alice is such a great age and size... at 7 - 9 months old (a perfect age - young enough to be open to new and wonderful possibilities in her life yet old enough to have left most babyish behaviors behind) and weighs 10 lbs (perfect size to accompany her people anywhere a sweet and very social pup is welcome).
Alice has a beautiful, non-shedding (or perhaps lightly shedding) coat...this is hard to tell for certain until her sad shelter hair grows into a well-cared for coat. Alice will require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her scruffy, cottony-soft coat healthy and matt-free.
We were unable to get an appointment for Alice's spay/microchip in New Mexico. Farfel's is happy to cover all vet costs for this procedure if our Denver vet is used.
Alice is in a foster home in the Denver area. Applications are currently being accepted for this very loving and silly lap dog and best friend. Apps can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
