Sassafras's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sassafras's Story...
Sassafras came to us recently after we were contacted by a lady who has progressive MS. She told us she needed help in rehoming a few of her dogs - we did not realize that she was actually a breeder at that point. We took the dogs in and have had them vetted and they are now ready for homes of their own. Sassafras is a sweet girl who was incredibly shy when she came to us. Through love and patience she has decided that people are pretty cool! She loves to play with other dogs and her favorite thing is sharing breakfast with my husband! Sassafras is between 6 months and 1 year and weighs about 10 pounds. She is trained to puppy pads and loves to run outside! She is figuring out what toys are as well and it's so much fun to see her play. Sass is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Sass to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassafras, a Southington Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Southington, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
