My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is the sweetest , happiest gal you could meet! She came to us when her family could no longer take care of her. She is a bit chubby, but has lost 3 pounds in the last month and can now run around the house! Our vets determined that she also has diabetes, and so she takes a tiny dose in the morning and evening, which she sits for and handles perfectly fine!

Ginger loves to run around, she gets along great with the dog and cat in her foster home, and is extremely friendly. She loves to go out for short walks (she's still a little too chunky for long walks) - but hopefully soon! She is a little shadow to her foster parents - always wanting to be with them. Ginger sleeps great in her bed next to their bed and loves to be picked up and carried down the stairs from the bedroom - she can go up them just fine, but she's a little too scared to go back down.

Ginger would be great in a house with other dogs, cats, adults and kids!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
