Overall, Lyla is a very healthy and active dog. She is prone to ear infections so we recommend a grain free dog food diet. Also like most pitbulls, Lyla has sensitive skin, but it’s nothing that a little aloe or an occasional alegra can’t fix. Finally, we encourage her new owner to give her a joint supplement as sometimes her hips can get sore.
Lyla is a rescue dog and has suffered abuse from men in her past. She takes longer to warm up to new men than women but once she learns to trust anyone new she is very loyal, super affectionate, and listens well to instruction. We advise that she lives in a home with no children, unless you have had prior experience with strong breeds.
With slow, regular interaction Lyla has had past dog friends.
