Dash's Story...

This very sweet girl is just 6 years old. We bought her at a Missouri dog auction, where breeders go to buy and sell their "stock". Never again will she live in a small cage, in her own filth, making puppies for market. She has learned to run in the grass, drink from a bowl, eat good food, and sleep in the house, in the big bed, on her favorite pillow. She has discovered love and hugs, and now prefers the company of people more than dogs. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle. She gets along with other dogs, and plays a little, but would rather be with her human. She is still a bit shy, but does very well with one or two people at a time. She does not know her name, so a new one will be fine with her. She has been spayed, had a physical and dental care, is up to date on vaccinations (except Lyme. We don't have that here in Kansas) She is ready for her forever family. Her adoption fee is $750.

Yes, she is available. No, she is not potty trained. No, you can't come and meet her, unless you are planning on a trip to Kansas. Once she is spoken for, she will be transported from our rehab facility in Kansas to our headquarters in Rye, NH. If you are interested or have questions about her, please fill out an application and we will be happy to talk to you.

Dash, a Rye Westie, West Highland White Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Westie, West Highland White Terrier for sale in Rye, or seeking a Westie, West Highland White Terrier dog from a breeder in Rye.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rye already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rye breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Westie, West Highland White Terrier breeders who help with Westie, West Highland White Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rye paves the way for another one to be saved.
