My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PAX HAS BEEN ADOPTED!Meet Pax, an adorable and friendly little boy looking for a loving forever home! This delightful pup was rescued from a kill shelter in Kentucky along with his mother (Lucy, also available for adoption) and his 7 littermates when they were just 2 weeks old. Mom was found as a pregnant stray in Kentucky and brought to the pound by a good samaritan. A chaotic and stressful animal control facility is no place for a mom to raise pups. Pal's Place heard the plea for this family and brought them up to Chicago and placed them into a nurturing foster home. Lucy, Pax's mom, appears to be a Border Collie/Husky mix. Since mom was a stray, we have no idea who the father was, but it appears that he could have been a Boxer or Hound. The pups were born on 5/31/17 and will be ready to leave for their new families when they are 9 weeks old, the weekend of 7/28. They will have two series of puppy vaccines and will be spayed/neutered and microchipped before being placed. Pax and all of his littermates are very friendly, social and happy puppies and any one of them will make great companions for homes with the time and energy to raise a young puppy. Given their breed mix, we anticipate that they will be active and intelligent dogs that will benefit from daily vigorous exercise and mental stimulation. They are on the larger size for their age and we are estimating their adult size to be between 50-70 pounds. Their adoption donation to the rescue is $375 and it helps to offset their medical expenses while in our care. For more info or for an adoption application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com They are currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved.

• The adoption donation for each pup is $375. This donation helps to cover their spays/neuters, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like this little family from euthanasia.

• Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and please put the name of the dog in the subject line. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder; sometimes the applications end up in there!

• All of our dogs are in foster homes are can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, after an approved application has been received. To receive more info please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. Email is the preferred method of contact and is the quickest way to receive a response. We cannot place holds on our dogs, please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.
