I LIKE IKE! DID YOU KNOW THAT IKE IS A NICKNAME FOR ISSAC?
I didn't know that, but I like this name. They gave it to me when I arrived as a stray dog on December 3, 2016. Now they tell me that I am 2-1/2-years old. But I don't buy it. I feel more like 6 months old! So, for convenience sake let's just go with that. That way you won't expect me to be all grown up and mature.
I think I am more like Peter Pan than I am anything else. I don't want to grow up. I LIKE being a puppy and playing and jumping up and chasing the ball and being with my person and running and chewing up chew toys.
Yes, I am a friendly happy guy and I do know how to walk on leash and how to sit, get down and shake. It's just that no one has ever sat me down and explained that life will be much happier for me if I go to school and learn some grown-up manners. Some dogs just sort of figure this out on their own and some, like me, need more guidance.
I need a patient, loving owner who has had young dogs before and can help me grow up. Kids 8 and older should be good role -models for me. I get a little nervous when I am alone for a long time, so someone who works at home might be the perfect person.
Besides. I'm cute as a button and twice as sweet! 2/8/17
