Facts about Bella
Breed: Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever Mix
Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
I am already spayed.
Bella's a sleek, spirited girl with dramatic eyes and a pretty smile. She can hardly wait for a good sized fenced area of her own, where she can freely run and play! She's alert and will probably be a good watchdog. Bella's person/people should patiently but firmly handle "enthusiastic" greetings while she settles in. She is quite trainable, though. For example, her favorite volunteer says, "I tell her sternly to SIT and WAIT or STAY, and she does. I put the food down, she waits for me to say OKAY and nod my head, and she goes to the food." Besides standard shots, dogs are de-wormed and vaccinated for bordatella.
We are caring and committed to HSCC missions: To aid and protect stray, abandoned, abused and neglected animals–including but not limited to rescue, rehabilitation, spaying and neutering, shelter and foster care, adoption. To aid in spaying and neutering companion animals–including but not limited to financial assistance for low-income owners.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We show shelter animals on Saturdays from 10:00 to noon, and weekday evenings by appointment. We show foster animals by appointment at an agreed-upon time and place. Contact us by email or message phone. (Our answering machine is regularly checked. Leave your name, number and short message, speaking slowly & clearly.)
Our Adoption Process...
The process includes a conversation, one-page application, one-page contract, and very reasonable adoption fee.
We do our best to place pets in LOVING, RESPONSIBLE, mutually appropriate homes. Any prospective adopter must meet the animal first. We prefer adopting within "easy driving distance" of Tahlequah OK, but occasionally make an exception. We do not ship animals.
Dogs have shots and broadtail vaccine, and are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked and microchipped!
