***** BRAND NEW ARRIVAL *****

***** SPECIAL NEEDS *****

Lately we have been taking in more unhealthy dogs than normal. A sad, and hopefully, short-lived epidemic. Meet BoJack, a ten-year old boy who is both heartworm positive and blind. Handsome as the day is long, BoJack is a sweetheart who love humans, dogs and even cats! And tell me those lips aren't just waiting for a big, fat kiss! They are puckered and ready!! His heartworms will be treated promptly and as soon as he is well, he will be available for adoption. Please keep an eye open for updates:

Age: 10-years old

Weight: 25 pounds

Health: Heartworm positive and blind (will be treated for heartworms and his eyes require drops daily)

Demeanor: Sweet, affectionate, playful, couch potato, social, curious

Likes: People (including children), dogs, cats, playing tug-o-war, giving kisses and snuggling, sitting in laps and being held, belly rubs, sleeping in your bed, burrowing under blankets, eating treats

Dislikes: Being crated but will do it, being on leash

Manners: Crate trained, working on housebreaking, dislikes being on leash, does not know any verbal commands at this time, does mark from time to time

Fenced Yard Required: Yes

We are accepting applications for BoJack at this time. Please keep in mind he won't be able to go to his new home until his heartworms are gone. To apply click this link: http://btrnc.org/home/adoption_information

About Boston Terrier Rescue of North Carolina

About Our Rescue Group...

BTRNC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) all volunteer North Carolina based animal rescue organization. Since 2003, BTRNC has rescued, rehabilitated, and provided adoption for Boston Terriers in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.

BTRNC removes Boston Terriers from abuse/neglect situations, owner surrenders, animal shelters, other animal welfare organizations, or otherwise without an owner. BTRNC then places rescued Boston Terriers in qualified foster homes and provides all necessary medical treatment, including heatworm testing and treatment and vaccinations.

BTRNC works diligently to find suitable homes for all of its dogs available for adoption.

BTRNC supports the control of pet overpopulation through the spaying/ neutering of rescued Boston Terriers prior to their placement with adoptive families.

BTRNC solicits and receives donations from the general public and its members.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our dogs are fostered in private homes and are not available for viewing. BTRNC occasionally participates in adoption and other events where some of its dogs are present.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in adopting from BTRNC must complete an application which is available on its website, www.btrnc.org. If the application meets the specifications stated in the application and if BTRNC has or expects to have a dog that meets the applicant's specifications, its adoption coordinator will contact the applicant to further review and discuss the application. The adoption coordinator will also contact the veterinarian provided as a reference, and one of our volunteers may complete a home visit to meet the applicant and evaluate the applicant's home.

The fee for adoption is:
$400 for puppies up to 9 months
$350 for dogs over 9 months and under 8 years old
$150 for dogs 8 years old and older.

The adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, heartworm testing and treatment, if needed, any other needed medical treatment, microchipping, harnesses, leashes and i.d. tags.
